“K. Pandyarajah Ballal Nursing Institute”, a renowned College of Nursing was inaugurated in the year 1994; this institution is a part of K. Pandyrajah Ballal Charitable Trust. The founder of this trust was Late. Dr. K R Ballal who founded these institutions in fond memory of his father Late. K. Padyarajah Ballal .
Dr. K R Ballal was a perfectionist and desciplinarian, a visionary and a man of excellence. He always stood by the principles of generosity and honesty. He was a great man of high dreams and always stood by it and fulfilled it with his hard work. Though he was born in the family of landlords, Dr. Ballal studied to be a Surgeon and Orthopedician. He was a multifaceted personality who also gallantly took Farming, Business Administration and Surgery at his stride. In order to bring forth a better and more improved qualified paramedical personnel to the ever growing and developing medical field, Dr. Ballal started the College of Nursing.
